I’m always on the lookout for unique and memorable experiences and I recently embarked on a glamping adventure in the picturesque Cotswolds. My destination was Wild Carrot, set amidst idyllic countryside, a luxurious glamping site that promises the perfect blend of comfort and nature. Come with me as I look back on my journey and the wonderful sights I discovered along the way.

Cotswold Wild Carrot Campground:

My glamping experience at Wild Carrot was nothing short of fascinating. Set in secluded woodland grounds, the hotel offers a range of well-designed, well-appointed accommodation. From luxurious bell tents to cozy cabins, each accommodation offers a comfortable retreat surrounded by peaceful nature. Thoughtful amenities and attention to detail ensure a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Single round courses in the Cotswolds:

One of the highlights of my trip was taking a Onewheel course in the Cotswolds. The Onewheel is a unique and exciting form of transportation that combines the thrill of a skateboard with the convenience of an electric motor. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, I had the opportunity to explore the stunning Cotswolds scenery in a fun and eco-friendly way.

Explore Tetbury:

The charming town of Tetbury, located near Wild Carrot, has captured my heart with its historic charm and vibrant atmosphere. I spent a pleasant afternoon wandering the picturesque streets lined with independent shops, antique stores and cozy cafes. Tetbury Market House is a stunning 17th century building that bears witness to the town’s rich heritage.

Visit the Cotswold Sculpture Park:

A short drive from Tetbury, I discovered the Cotswold Sculpture Park, a hidden gem for art lovers. Set on 10 acres of stunning parkland, the park showcases an impressive collection of contemporary sculptures by talented artists. Walking between the sculptures, I was captivated by the creativity and craftsmanship on display, a truly immersive and inspiring experience.

Explore Mizeden Gardens:

No trip to the Cotswolds is complete without exploring the stunning gardens. With its beautifully manicured lawns, vibrant flower borders and serene water features, Misselden Gardens provided me with an oasis of tranquility where I could relax and reconnect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the gardens leave a lasting impression.

Where to eat and drink on Cotswolds glamping tour:

During my glamping adventures, I discovered some great dining options in the Cotswolds. The Close is a well-known restaurant in Tetbury and I am delighted with its delicious seasonal menu and warm hospitality. Another notable recommendation is the King’s Head Hotel in Cirencester, where I had a lovely meal in charming and historic surroundings.

Other accommodation in South Cotswolds – Log House Holidays, Poole Keynes near Cirencester:

For those looking for alternative accommodation options in the South Cotswolds, I recommend considering Holiday Inn Cottages in Poole Cairns near Cirencester. This lakeside resort offers unique getaways with luxurious log cabins nestled in tranquil waters. The serene surroundings, combined with the cozy cabins, create an idyllic retreat for nature lovers and those looking to unwind.

My Cotswolds glamping trip was an unforgettable experience, immersing me in the beauty of nature while enjoying the comfort of luxury accommodation. From the tranquil camping grounds of Wild Carrot to the stunning sights of Tetbury and beyond, every moment is filled with charm and wonder.
